Robert Gutierrez was born in Manila, Philippines. Gutierrez has had solo exhibitions at Gregory Lind Gallery and Ratio 3 in San Francisco and at Sister in Los Angeles, and he has an upcoming show at Sixtyseven Gallery in New York. His works have also been included in exhibitions at Deitch Projects and White Columns in New York and in the Altoids Curiously Strong Collection.

Robert Gutierrez’s futuristic landscapes touch on transparency and dislocation in our sense of place. Recent exhibitions include a solo show entitled Auto Repair at the Backroom Gallery, Adobe Books and Aerial, Art on Market St. kiosk posters sponsored by the public art department of the San Francisco Arts Commission. He has participated in group-exhibitions at Deitch Projects (New York), Galerie Ze De Bois in Lisbon, Portugal and the Headlands Center for the Arts, Sausalito. He was also a featured artist in Kearny Street Workshop’s Apature 2003. His work is represented by the Pierogi Gallery, Brooklyn, and the Gregory Lind Gallery, San Francisco, CA.
